Have you reached the age where you just do not want to look like having one more day? Or have you already passed this point? Could you use a help to reverse the aging that has already occurred? Wherever you are in your anti-aging approach, the following tips will help you get where you want to be:
Brush your face. I know it sounds weird, but stay with me because it really works. Get a toothbrush with soft bristles. (A new one, not the one you used on your teeth!) Wet your face and apply your favorite cleanser. Wet the brush with lukewarm water. You may want to add a pinch of cleanser to help it slide more easily over your skin. Brush your face in small circles clockwise and then in the opposite direction, starting at the chin and then around the mouth, focusing particularly on the nasolabial folds (lines of laughter). Climb and work on the cheeks. After that, work gently on the area under the eyes by brushing an arc (no circles) from the outer edge of the area of your eyes, heading towards the bridge of the nose. This motion is against the formation of "goose paws". You'll want to be careful in this area because the skin is delicate. Pinch just enough to feel it. Then, move along your forehead by brushing clockwise and counterclockwise, focusing on where you have lines, especially between the eyebrows. Make your neck too. You can brush circles or straight up and down. Afterwards, be sure to hydrate. Brushing exfoliates, stimulates the production of collagen and brings the blood to the surface of the skin, carrying the nutrients. Do it regularly, a few times a week, and your face will soon become smoother, more uniform and younger.
HYDRATE WITH EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL. You may be wary of applying oil on your face, especially if you tend to burst. But do not worry, extra virgin coconut oil has antibacterial properties, so it minimizes rashes. It's also excellent for rejuvenating the skin all over the body. Not only does it penetrate effectively, nourishes the deeper layers, but gently exfoliates the top layer without drying out the skin. Apply it at night after brushing your face. Blot the excess with a paper towel or facial tissue. In a few weeks you will start to shine. Use it regularly to moisturize, strengthen the connective tissues of your skin and relieve discolouration, which will take years off the face.
TAKE OMEGA-3. Omega-3s have a host of health benefits. They are great for your heart and brain, but take them every day and they will also help your skin look younger. Omega-3 derived from fish oil are a combination of two essential fatty acids that reduce inflammation and hydrate the skin from within. These essential fatty acids help maintain the structure and fluidity of cell membranes and also help regulate the flow of nutrients into cells. According to Dr. Nicolas Perricone, an anti-aging specialist, taking omega-3 fatty acid capsules increases the luster of the skin.
ADDING GELATIN UNSUITABLE TO YOUR DIET Gelatin is derived from animal collagen. When you add it to your diet, it ends up in your bloodstream and from there into your connective tissues, including your skin. I discovered this benefit accidentally by taking it for an injury to the joint. After a few weeks, I noticed that the lines of laughter I was fighting with brushing and moisturizing the skin were even less noticeable. After about 3 months, they were completely gone! I recommend adding it to your morning drink. It is sold in packages in the baking section of the supermarket. Dissolve it in a little cold water, then add your coffee or tea and mix. It does not add any taste, but drinking will keep your skin smooth and firm.
GREEN TEA BEVERAGE. Green tea is considered a "super food" because of its high content of antioxidants. Rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin 3 gallate), green tea fights free radicals that contribute to aging. Recent studies have shown that drinking green tea protects the body from sun damage. Since exposure to the sun is one of the leading causes of aging skin, green tea is a great addition to your anti-aging arsenal. To get the benefits, you will need to drink 3 cups a day. (One cup equals 8 oz.) Drink it in the morning because it contains caffeine that can disturb sleep if you consume it too close to bedtime.
WEAR A HAT. I'm sure you already use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. If you do not do it, you absolutely must do it if you are trying to prevent aging. Also remember to wear a wide-brimmed hat. The sunscreen is excellent, but adding a hat with a 3 to 5 inch edge gives you even more protection. If you take the habit of not going out without a sun hat, you will age much more slowly. The sun is one of the major contributors to aging. (If you're skeptical, notice the difference between the skin on your buttocks, assuming you're not nudist, and skin elsewhere.) Whenever your skin is exposed to the sun, the clock goes ahead . Yes, sunscreen helps, but it does not block it completely. Do a favor to your face, add a hat and strengthen your defense.
If you consistently apply these six suggestions, you'll be happy to rejuvenate instead of getting older. Make sure you have a piece of identification with you because you may need it to prove your age.
