Pigmentation disorders of the skin affect the color and tone of the skin. In our body we have a pigment called melanin, which determines the color of our skin, our hair and our eyes. People with darker skin will have more melanin in their skin cells than those with lighter skin. If the skin cells become damaged or unhealthy, melanin production will be affected, which will also affect your skin.
Pigmentation problems include:
Uneven skin tone
Hyperpigmentation can occur for a variety of reasons: overexposure to the sun, genetics, hormonal changes, medical problems or burns. it can get worse. Some pigmentation disorders affect only certain areas of the skin and, although these areas are not harmful, they can cause some distress.
hyperpigmentation – If your body produces too much melanin, some parts of your skin may darken
hypopigmentation – Too little melanin, or if the pigment producing cells are damaged, some parts of your skin may become lighter.
Benefits of laser skin pigmentation treatment:
The procedure is safe – especially for the face, hands, neck and chest
There is no recovery time – so you can resume your normal activities immediately
It's very efficient – gives exceptional results every time
Advanced laser technology can help solve skin pigmentation problems, resurface the upper layers of the skin and remove sun damage and pigmentation, giving us a safe, effective and easy way to treat irregular pigmentation. Laser treatment damages the upper layers of the skin, forcing the collagen to act and repair the damage. Thus, after a few weeks, the skin will be plumped and revitalized. The laser system resurfaces the skin and, as the laser stimulates collagen production, you will see a continuous improvement in the texture and softness of the skin for several months.
Treatment course – 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart
Back to work – The next day
Anesthetic – Local
Depending on the size of the affected area, the treatment sessions can last between 5 and 30 minutes. A single treatment session will give the desired result, but sometimes two treatments may be necessary.
Most clients experience minimal discomfort, although some may feel a slight tingling sensation on the skin when the laser is delivered, but a topical anesthetic cream before the start of treatment will make it more comfortable. Subsequently, the skin of the treated areas will become darker, but it will detach after a few days. You will probably notice an improvement in the skin's complexion and texture as soon as the redness disappears after the first treatment.
