Whenever your body tries to heal itself, it needs the best possible conditions. Clean air, clean housing, safe and dry, clean water and good nutrition.
Healing with a junk food diet is very difficult. It's like trying to do it in a dirty environment. The healing process usually requires inflammation, but an undesirable diet will cause excessive inflammation leading to prolonged infections.
Sinus and lung problems are typical of this type of delayed cure of junk food. These problems often only coincide with occasional outbreaks, while depriving you of your energy and well-being.
To heal, we must activate our immune system, which involves the creation of white blood cells.
To build these cells, do you need the right mix of amino acids from good sources of protein?
To convert your proteins into absorbable amino acids, you need good concentrations of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and pancreatic enzymes in the small intestine.
You also need a healthy lining in your gut for digestion, and for that you need to avoid the high sugar-free foods and omega-6 oils.
In other words, you can not treat properly while consuming junk food. By junk, I include all processed foods, as well as cereals, which turn into sugar very quickly and processed vegetable oils, which seriously disrupt the natural pharmaceutical production located in the endothelium of the lining of your blood vessels.
There is some wisdom in the chicken soup remedy for colds and flu. Most old remedies made sense, lemons, plenty of liquid, honey, avoid dairy products and mucus-forming foods and get enough rest.
Even heavy smokers can quit. Then, as if by magic, their nicotine cravings come back when they improve.
But this calls into question the wisdom of the high-sugar foods typically served in hospitals.
To heal, you need foods and drinks, which are good sources of amino acids, healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, water, antioxidants and polyphenols.
The good news is that it's easy to get everything you need by stopping junk food and including natural foods for your health.
You do not have to be a health fanatic, in fact you can eat very well and it does not even show to the outside world. Eating well at home is easy, going out to the restaurant takes a little more effort but is feasible. You can do it if your health is really important to you.
